Diorissimo: Dior

Traditional, innit? A little vintage Diorissimo for May Day.

Most of the vintage scent I have hoarded and scavenged is pretty robust, but of all the classic Diors, Diorissimo seems the most fragile. So I think I enjoy the vision of damp-kneed Edmond Roudnitska obsessively sniffing around his muguet beds more than I like this particular bottle–because the top notes have turned into a blast of marker pen and plastic bags, and the true lily of the valley smell that remains is short lived.

It fades so fast I am tempted to tip the whole lot into a handkerchief and just let it disperse in one brief heady cloud of glory.
